Biography
Raised on: Monopoly, Stratego, chess, rummy royal, pinochle, gin rummy, Yahtzee.
1980’s: Axis & Allies, Civilization.

I’m an optimizer.
I plan to carry a pound or two of dice with me while at GameStorm. If you have dice you don’t want, come find me and we can swap.
San Juan is seriously underused as a gateway game.
I’ve recently played in two Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition campaigns, as a half-orc monk/rogue and a minotaur avenger. I’ve also tried Diaspora, which looks like an interesting system.
I bike to work every day and sometimes bike to GameStorm.
I support multiparty politics, proportional representation, and the use of Ranked Choice Voting (aka Instant Runoff Voting) to ensure majority election winners and deal with the “split vote” phenomenon. The Oregon constitution was amended in 1908 to allow ranked voting, let’s use it already!
