Gut Bustin’ Games: March 2008 Company: Gut Bustin’ Games began is 2004 with the creation of ‘Redneck Life’ Board Game. Lisa Steenson and Friend, Lori Dieda, doggedly pursued the making of the game from poster board prototype, to national distribution, to ‘Game of the Year’ for 2006 by the Toy and Game Industry. Lisa went on to create a follow-up expansion to Redneck Life: ‘Bustin’ a Gut!’ and has just sent to press ‘Trailer Park Wars!’. She already has two more games in development. “Truth is funnier than fiction. I try to use real life situations and people relate to the humor of it. They recognize themselves or someone they know and can’t keep from laughing!”, Steenson stated. The games have been a hit in the gift stores as much as the game industry and word of mouth has been the best form of advertising. Print runs are now 10,000 games at a time and the games are sold in hundreds of stores throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Gut Bustin’ Games is based north of Battle Ground, Washington.

About us: Lisa ‘Bowman’ Steenson grew up in Sweet Home, Oregon. Redheaded stepchild of an auto body guy (the body shop even had a keg-er-ator!). Lisa had a chance to see, first hand, how folks made the most of what they had and to have a good ol’ time in the process. Lisa worked her way through college getting a B.S. in P.E. at O.S.U. (Oregon State) and made a career out of playing. Why not? Lisa married a Marine Corps pilot and lived in Virginia, Mississippi, California, Florida, North Carolina, Salt Lake City, and now Washington State. Lots of opportunity for research and development! She lives near Battle Ground,Washington and has 3 daughters, a flag and windsock company www.Celebrationflags.com, and is also a dog trainer. Lori grew up in Palos Verde, California with a premiere address, but a single working parent household struggling to get by. She married a couple of times moved a lot… getting a taste of life around all parts of the country. Mention “Road Trip!” and she packs up her brown paper suitcase and is ready to hit the road for more research and development! Lori started up the Humane Society for Pulaski County in Kentucky. She saw a need, put her mind and energy to it, and made it happen. Sales and marketing is her specialty-oh, and guzzling the beer to make-fer more beer caps as moving pieces. She is currently living…in Kentucky? California? Salt Lake City? Depends on the week. But wherever she is…she’s guzzlin’ beer: takin’ it for the team!
